§ 307. Title to Bridge and approaches; power to hold title to New Jersey property.

The title to the Bridge within the territorial limits of this State shall at all times be in the State of Delaware, and the title to so much of the Bridge and any approaches and appurtenances thereto which may be within the State of New Jersey shall at all times be either in the name of the Department or in the name of an individual or a corporation as trustee for the Department or otherwise held as may be permitted by the laws of the State of New Jersey, but the construction, control, operation, maintenance, repair, improvement and enlargement of the Bridge shall at all times be confined to the Department.
The Department, in its own name, may take and hold title to and make agreements for the use of any property in the State of New Jersey necessary for the purposes of the Bridge and approaches thereto, if permitted so to do by the laws of the State of New Jersey and, for the purpose of taking and holding such title and making such agreements, the Department is constituted a body corporate and politic, with all the usual powers thereof for the purposes last aforesaid only.
