Sec. 7-369. Authority to issue bonds.

When any municipality has made appropriations or incurred debts exceeding ten thousand dollars, including appropriations to pay such municipality's share of capital costs incurred pursuant to the terms of an interlocal agreement approved by such municipality in accordance with the provisions of sections 7-339a to 7-339 l , inclusive, it may issue either serial or term bonds or both, either registered or with coupons attached, notes, or other obligations, maturing at such time or times, or containing provisions for mandatory amortization of principal at such time or times, and issued at such discount or bearing interest at such rate or rates payable at such time or times, or containing provisions for the method or manner of determining such rate or rates or time or times at which interest is payable, and with such provisions for redemption before maturity at its option or at the option of the holder thereof at such price or prices and under such terms and conditions, subject to the provisions of the general statutes, as the municipality or the officer or body authorized to issue the bonds, notes or other obligations determines, notwithstanding the terms of any resolution or ordinance authorizing the issuance of bonds, notes or other obligations adopted prior to June 5, 1986, requiring such bonds, notes and other obligations to be issued in serial form or to bear interest payable annually, semiannually or quarterly.
For the purpose of this section, “municipality” means any town, city, borough, consolidated town and city, consolidated town and borough, any metropolitan district, any district, as defined in section 7-324 , and any other municipal corporation having the power to levy taxes and to issue bonds, notes or other obligations.
