Sec. 54-235. State-wide automated victim information and notification system.

The Judicial Branch shall contract for the establishment and implementation of a state-wide automated victim information and notification system to provide automatic notice of relevant offender information and status reports to registered crime victims. Such system shall be used to provide victim notification by the Office of Victim Services within the Judicial Department, the Victim Services Unit within the Department of Correction, the Board of Pardons and Paroles and the Division of Criminal Justice.
Such system shall be operational on July 1, 2009, or not later than thirty days after receipt of notice of the award of federal funds for the establishment and implementation of such system, whichever is earlier.
