(a)A person is guilty of abuse in the third degree when such person
(1)knowingly commits abuse of an elderly, blind or disabled person or a person with intellectual disability and causes physical injury to such elderly, blind or disabled person or person with intellectual disability, or
(2)recklessly commits abuse of an elderly, blind or disabled person or a person with intellectual disability and causes physical injury to such elderly, blind or disabled person or person with intellectual disability.
(b)Abuse in the third degree is a class A misdemeanor.
