(a)Any law enforcement officer or prosecutorial official who sought a court order to detain a child pursuant to subparagraph
(C)of subdivision
(1)of subsection
(c)of section 46b-133 shall attach, along with the summons, a copy of the completed form to detain that is prescribed by Office of the Chief Court Administrator. On and after October 1, 2022, such form shall instruct any judge who declines to detain such child to articulate in writing, upon such form, the reasons for such declination.
(b)The Judicial Branch, the Division of Criminal Justice, the Division of State Police within the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection and each municipal police department shall compile data concerning requests by a law enforcement officer to detain a child pursuant to subdivision
(3)of subsection
(c)of section 46b-133 . The Judicial Branch, the Division of Criminal Justice, the Division of State Police within the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection and each municipal police department shall sort such data by judicial district and categorize such data based on
(1)how many such requests were made, and
(2)how many such requests were denied. Not later than January 15, 2023, and annually thereafter, the Judicial Branch shall, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a , report such data from the previous calendar year to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary.
