No person, unless excluded from the definition of a “sales finance company” as provided in section 36a-535 , shall engage in the business of a sales finance company unless such person has obtained a license for its main office and for each branch office where such business is conducted in accordance with the provisions of sections 36a-535 to 36a-547 , inclusive. Any activity subject to licensure pursuant to sections 36a-535 to 36a-547 , inclusive, shall be conducted from an office located in a state, as defined in section 36a-2 .
A licensee under sections 36a-535 to 36a-547 , inclusive, shall not be required to obtain any other license in this state in order to perform any act permitted or required to be performed by such licensee under said sections.
