Any officer, agent, or employee of any financial institution who makes any false entry upon the collection or forwarding register or any other book of any such institution, or who fails correctly to record on the books of such institution any change in its assets or liabilities, with intent to deceive the commissioner or the officers or auditors of any such institution, and any person who, with like intent, aids or abets any such officer, agent, or employee in the violation of any provision of this section, shall be imprisoned not more than ten years.
A finding by the commissioner as a result of an investigation of any such false entry, failure to correctly record or aiding or abetting shall be considered a violation of this section for purposes of the administrative enforcement of sections 36a-50 to 36a-53 , inclusive. The commissioner shall refer to the Chief State's Attorney any evidence found by the commissioner of a criminal violation of the provisions of this section.
