Sec. 22a-252. Disposal of asbestos.

No person shall dump, discard or otherwise dispose of more than one cubic foot of any substance containing asbestos or an asbestos-containing material, as defined in section 19a-332 , except at a solid waste facility which has been granted a permit pursuant to section 22a-208a , and which has been authorized by the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection as a solid waste disposal site for asbestos. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit any person from dumping, discarding or otherwise disposing of any substance containing asbestos or an asbestos-containing material in an out-of-state facility.
This section shall not be deemed to apply to naturally-occurring asbestos of Connecticut origin.
