As used in subsection
(c)of section 19a-14 and sections 20-102aa to 20-102ff , inclusive:
(1)“Commissioner” means the Commissioner of Public Health;
(2)“nurse's aide” means an individual providing nursing or nursing-related services to residents in a chronic and convalescent nursing home or rest home with nursing supervision, but does not include an individual who is a health professional otherwise licensed or certified by the Department of Public Health, or who volunteers to provide such services without monetary compensation;
(3)“registration” means a document issued by the Department of Public Health to a nurse's aide which certifies that such aide has satisfied the training and competency evaluation requirements prescribed by the commissioner and has been found qualified for employment in a chronic and convalescent nursing home or rest home with nursing supervision; and
(4)“registered nurse's aide” means an individual who has been issued a registration as defined in this section.
