Sec. 20-96. Licensure as practical nurse. Examinations.

Any person who holds a certificate from a nursing program approved by said board with the consent of the Commissioner of Public Health, which program consists of not less than twelve months' instruction in the care of the sick as prescribed by said board, or its equivalent as determined by said board, shall be eligible for examination for licensure as a licensed practical nurse upon payment of a fee of one hundred fifty dollars. Such examination shall include such subjects as the department, with the advice and consent of the board, determines.
If such applicant passes such examination said department shall issue to such applicant a license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in this state.
