(a)A motor vehicle operator's license shall be renewed only for the same class or classes for which it was originally issued.
(b)A person may obtain a license for an additional class or classes if he demonstrates, pursuant to subsection
(e)of section 14-36 , that he is qualified to operate motor vehicles of such class or classes.
