After a plan of representation has been established pursuant to subsection
(a)of section 10-46 and sections 10-63j to 10-63t , inclusive, the legislative bodies of the towns in a regional school district may appoint a regional school reapportionment committee in accordance with the provisions of said sections and a new plan of representation on the regional school board of education may be established in accordance with the provisions of said sections.
