For the school year commencing July 1, 2018, and each school year thereafter, the Department of Education shall develop, and update as necessary, uniform standards and curriculum for all career technical education programs offered by local or regional boards of education. The department may adopt existing uniform standards and curriculum when developing such uniform standards and curriculum under this section. Such uniform standards and curriculum shall be aligned with any relevant professional certification requirements.
The department shall make available, and provide technical assistance relating to the implementation of, such standards and curriculum to any local or regional board of education that offers a career technical education program.
