11-53-206. Cooperation with other agencies.

(1)To encourage uniform application and interpretation of this article and commodities regulation and enforcement in general, the commissioner and the employees of the commissioner may cooperate, including bearing the expense of such cooperation, with law enforcement and other regulatory agencies of this state or other jurisdictions.
(2)The cooperation authorized by subsection
(1)of this section shall include, but need not be limited to, the following:
(a)Making joint examinations or investigations;
(b)Holding joint administrative hearings;
(c)Filing and prosecuting joint litigation;
(d)Sharing and exchanging personnel;
(e)Sharing and exchanging information and documents; except that any information or documents shared by the commissioner with other agencies shall remain nonpublic and confidential as provided in section 11-53-205
(3)unless made public in connection with an investigation or proceeding brought by agencies with whom said information or documents was shared; and
(f)Formulating and adopting mutual regulations, statements of policy, guidelines, proposed statutory changes, and releases.
