§ 4100

The department has jurisdiction over the following facilities:
(a)Atascadero State Hospital.
(b)Coalinga State Hospital.
(c)Metropolitan State Hospital.
(d)Napa State Hospital.
(e)Patton State Hospital.
(1)The Admission, Evaluation, and Stabilization
(AES)Center in the County of Kern, and other AES Centers as defined by regulation.
(2)The Director of State Hospitals may adopt emergency regulations in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act (Chapter 3.5 (commencing with Section 11340) of Part 1 of Division of 3 of Title 2 of the Government Code) to implement this subdivision. The adoption of emergency regulations under this paragraph is deemed to address an emergency, for purposes of Sections 11346.1 and 11349.6 of the Government Code, and the Director of State Hospitals is hereby exempted for this purpose from the requirements of subdivision
(b)of Section 11346.1 of the Government Code.
(g)A county jail treatment facility under contract with the State Department of State Hospitals to provide competency restoration services.
(h)A facility under contract with the State Department of State Hospitals pursuant to Section 4361.6, excluding community-based restoration of competency services that are operated by the county.
(i)Any other State Department of State Hospitals facility subject to available funding by the Legislature.
