(a)On or before January 10 following the end of each fiscal year, for every county subject to subdivision
(a)or
(d)or that selected the option pursuant to paragraph
(2)of subdivision (b), or paragraph
(2)of subdivision (c), of Section 17600.50, the Director of Finance shall make a final determination of how much the allocation attributable to each county and city and county should have been pursuant to subdivision
(d)of Section 17603 for the prior fiscal year. This determination shall be based on the sharing ratios provided in Section 17600.50.
(b)The amount of the final determination amount for each county or city and county shall be subtracted from the amount attributable to each county or city and county that was actually transferred in the applicable fiscal year.
(c)At the same time the Director of Finance makes the determination in subdivision (a), the director shall adjust the schedules provided to the Controller pursuant to subdivision
(d)of Section 17603. Notwithstanding Section 17603, the Controller shall only adjust amounts payable by the County Medical Services Program in order to reconcile underpayment or overpayment made to the Family Support Subaccount by the County Medical Services Program and counties participating in the County Medical Services Program in the preceding fiscal year.
(d)The Director of Finance shall notify every affected county and the Joint Legislative Budget Committee of the determinations made pursuant to subdivisions
(a)and (b).
