§ 11253.3

(a)On and after the effective dates of the age extensions provided in subdivision
(k)of Section 11403, a nonminor dependent, as defined in subdivision
(v)of Section 11400, who was receiving CalWORKs aid and was placed in the approved home of a relative under the supervision of the county child welfare or probation department or Indian tribe that has entered into an agreement pursuant to Section 10553.1, and who has become eligible for continued receipt of CalWORKs pursuant to Section 11403, shall not be subject to this chapter, except as specified in subdivision (b).
(b)The nonminor dependent shall continue to receive the same grant amount as a CalWORKs grant recipient in an assistance unit of one, pursuant to the amount set forth in Section 11450. Any changes to the CalWORKs grant amount shall also apply to the nonminor dependent’s grant.
