(a)To the extent not prohibited by federal law, the State Department of Health Care Services shall annually inform the Employment Development Department of the names and social security numbers of all recipients of the benefits of the Medi-Cal program (Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 14000)).
(b)The State Department of Health Care Services shall determine the average per individual cost of state and federally funded benefits provided by the Medi-Cal program excluding administrative costs of the Medi-Cal program. These departments shall then inform the Employment Development Department of these costs in order for the Employment Development Department to calculate the information that is required to be reported pursuant to Section 13084 of the Government Code.
(c)The State Department of Social Services shall, based on the most recent data available to the department, annually determine and provide the following information to the Employment Development Department, to the extent not prohibited by state and federal confidentiality statutes and regulations, in order for the Employment Development Department to provide data needed by the Department of Finance to compile the report required by Section 13084 of the Government Code:
(1)The percentage of individuals who are recipients of the Medi-Cal Program (Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 14000)) who are also recipients of the CalFresh program (Chapter 10, commencing with Section 18900 of Part 6).
(2)The average individual CalFresh benefit for individuals who are members of households in which at least one member is employed.
(d)This section shall remain in effect only until January 1, 2020, and as of that date is repealed.
