Not later than January 1, 2005, and on or before January 1 of each year thereafter, each state agency expending funds pursuant to this division for projects, grants, or loans shall report to the Legislature on the recipient and amount of each project, grant, or loan awarded under this division during the previous fiscal year. The information shall include the total amount awarded, categorized by project, grant, or loan, the geographic distribution of projects, grants, or loans awarded under this division, and the intended public and environmental benefit that the awards provide.
The information shall also include data on the balances of funds available under this division for expenditures and grants in that fiscal year and future fiscal years.
