The Legislature of the State of California hereby ratifies and approves that certain compact designated as the “Klamath River Basin Compact between the States of Oregon and California,” as set forth in Section 2 of Chapter 113 of the Statutes of 1957, which was approved at Klamath Falls, Oregon, on the seventeenth day of November, 1956, by the California Klamath River Commission, under authority of and in conformity with the provisions of Government Code Sections 8110-8119 (California Stats. 1953, Ch. 1473, p. 3085), and by a similar commission representing the State of Oregon under legislative authority of that state, and the provisions of said compact shall become the law of this State upon said compact becoming effective as provided in Article XIII of said compact.
