§ 12804.12

(a)The department may issue a restricted class A driver’s license for the operation of a vehicle towing a trailer if all of the following conditions are met:
(1)The towing of the trailer is not for compensation or commercial purposes.
(2)The trailer has a gross vehicle weight rating or gross vehicle weight of more than 10,000 pounds.
(3)The trailer is used exclusively for recreational purposes.
(4)The trailer is used for the transportation of property or human habitation, or both.
(b)In lieu of a report of a medical examination required by Section 12804.9, an applicant for a restricted license issued pursuant to subdivision
(a)shall, upon application and every two years thereafter, submit medical information on a form approved by the department.
(c)This section shall become operative on January 1, 2027.
