(a)Except as provided in subdivision (b), no toll shall be imposed on the passage of a pedestrian, a bicycle, or a personal micromobility device, as defined in Section 1940.41 of the Civil Code, over any state-owned bridge, on which the travel of pedestrians, bicycles, or personal micromobility devices is otherwise authorized, and on which tolls are imposed on the passage of motor vehicles.
(b)Subdivision
(a)shall not apply if the bridge was under construction on or after January 1, 2025, and if the tolls are used to fund the cost of constructing the bridge.
