§ 225.5

(a)For purposes of Section 214 an educational television station is any facility, which does not accept advertising for a consideration and which transmits television programs by wires, lines, radio waves, waveguides, coaxial cable, microwave transmitters or other electronic or mechanical means or any combination thereof, if the corporation, fund or foundation owning such station receives at least twenty-five
(25)percent of its operating expenses by means of contributions from the general public or dues from members.
(b)For purposes of Section 214 a noncommercial educational FM broadcast station is any facility licensed and operating pursuant to subpart
(C)(commencing with Section 73.501) of Part 73 of Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
