§ 80146

(a)The sum of two hundred ninety million dollars ($290,000,000) shall be available, upon appropriation by the Legislature, for drought and groundwater investments to achieve regional sustainability. Expenditure of these funds may include planning, design, and implementation projects through competitive grants and loans for investments in groundwater recharge with surface water, stormwater, recycled water, and other conjunctive use projects, and projects to prevent or clean up contamination of groundwater that serves as a source of drinking water.
(b)Of the funds made available pursuant to this section, fifty million dollars ($50,000,000) shall be available pursuant to Chapter 10 (commencing with Section 79770) of Division 26.7 of the Water Code for the purposes described in Section 79775 of the Water Code.
