§ 80008

(1)Except as provided in paragraph (2), at least 20 percent of the funds available pursuant to each chapter of this division shall be allocated for projects serving severely disadvantaged communities.
(2)At least 15 percent of the funds available pursuant to Chapter 9 (commencing with Section 80120) and Chapter 10 (commencing with Section 80130) shall be allocated for projects serving severely disadvantaged communities.
(1)Except as provided in subdivision (c), up to 10 percent of the funds available pursuant to each chapter of this division may be allocated for technical assistance to disadvantaged communities. The agency administering the moneys shall operate a multidisciplinary technical assistance program for disadvantaged communities.
(2)Funds used for providing technical assistance to disadvantaged communities may exceed 10 percent of the funds allocated if the state agency administering the moneys determines that there is a need for the additional funding.
(1)Up to 5 percent of funds available pursuant to each chapter of this division shall, to the extent permissible under the State General Obligation Bond Law (Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 16720) of Part 3 of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Government Code) and with the concurrence of the Director of Finance, be allocated for community access projects that include, but are not limited to, the following:
(A)Transportation.
(B)Physical activity programming.
(C)Resource interpretation.
(D)Multilingual translation.
(E)Natural science.
(F)Workforce development and career pathways.
(G)Education.
(H)Communication related to water, parks, climate, coastal protection, and other outdoor pursuits.
(2)This subdivision does not apply to Chapter 11.1 (commencing with Section 80141) and Chapter 12 (commencing with Section 80150).
