The sum of one hundred eighty million dollars ($180,000,000) shall be available to the department for the purposes of funding the state’s share of the nonfederal costs of flood control and flood prevention projects for which assurances required by the federal government have been provided by a local agency and which have been authorized under the State Water Resources Law of 1945 (Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 12570) and Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 12639) of Part 6 of Division 6 of the Water Code), the Flood Control Law of 1946 (Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 12800) of Part 6 of Division 6 of the Water Code), and the California Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Law (Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 12850) of Part 6 of Division 6 of the Water Code), including the credits and loans to local agencies pursuant to Sections 12585.3 and 12585.4, subdivision
(d)of Section 12585.5, and Sections 12866.3 and 12866.4 of the Water Code, and to implement Chapter 3.5 (commencing with Section 12840) of Part 6 of Division 6 of the Water Code. Projects eligible for funding pursuant to this section shall comply with the requirements of AB 1147 (Statutes of 2000, Chapter 1071).
