On or after January 1, 1991, it is unlawful to sell, manufacture, or distribute glass beverage or glass food containers which, as part of the product, bear or are attached to ceramic materials. This section does not apply to ceramic enamels used for decorating or labeling glass beverage containers or other glass containers, or to special edition or holiday season distilled spirit containers which are not intended for disposal and are intended to be retained as collectors’ items.
