(a)In allocating funds pursuant to subdivision
(u)of Section 5096.310, the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection shall give preference to the planting of trees that provide greater air quality benefits and to urban forestry projects that provide greater energy conservation benefits.
(b)The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection shall consult with the State Air Resources Board in developing guidelines for the allocation of grant funds pursuant to subdivision
(u)of Section 5096.310 that promote air quality benefits.
(c)State and local agencies shall consider potential air quality benefits when allocating funds received pursuant to this chapter.
