§ 33203.1

Notwithstanding Section 33203 or any other provision of this division, the executive director of the conservancy shall give notice of any proposed acquisition of real property, or of any interest in real property, by eminent domain to the city council of the city in which the property is located, or to the board of supervisors of the county in which the property is located if it is in an unincorporated area, at least 45 days prior to the conservancy requesting any action by the State Public Works Board pursuant to Section 15854 of the Government Code.
If the city council or board of supervisors disapproves of the proposed action, the conservancy shall hold a noticed public hearing on the objections to the use of eminent domain prior to any vote recommending that action by the State Public Works Board.
