§ 25371.1

(a)The commission shall use reasonable means necessary and available, including, but not limited to, the authority under subdivisions
(e)and
(f)of Section 11181 of the Government Code, to seek and obtain any facts, figures, and other information from any source for the purpose of preparing the assessment under Section 25371. The commission shall specifically report in the assessment any ongoing or unsuccessful attempts to obtain information from potential sources, including the lack of cooperation or refusal to provide information.
(b)For purposes of the assessment prepared under Section 25371, the commission may impose a civil penalty whenever a person fails to timely provide the information specified in that section and any other information the commission deems necessary to conduct the assessment. A civil penalty under this subdivision shall be imposed under the procedures set forth in subdivision
(a)of Section 25362.
(c)Subdivisions
(b)and
(c)of Section 25362 shall apply to a person who willfully submits or makes any false statement to the commission.
(d)The commission shall conduct a public meeting in December of each year to provide an opportunity for the public to provide input on transportation fuel prices.
