(a)“Convenience zone” means either of the following:
(1)The area within a one mile radius of a supermarket.
(2)The area designated by the department pursuant to Section 14571.5.
(b)Notwithstanding subdivision
(c)of Section 14585, an entity that received handling fees pursuant to Section 14585 as of December 31, 2022, shall not be made ineligible for handling fees as a result of the changes made to this section by Senate Bill 1013 of the 2021–22 Regular Session.
