(a)The superior court that disposes of a case for which an arrest was required to be reported to the Department of Justice pursuant to Section 13150 or for which fingerprints were taken and submitted to the Department of Justice by order of the court shall ensure that a disposition report of a case containing the applicable data elements enumerated in Section 13125, including the CII number and the court docket number, or Section 13151.1 if the disposition is one of dismissal, is furnished to the Department of Justice within 30 days according to the procedures and in a format prescribed by the department. The court shall also furnish a copy of the disposition report to the law enforcement agency having primary jurisdiction to investigate the offense alleged in the complaint or accusation. When a court orders an action subsequent to the initial disposition of a case, the court shall similarly report the proceedings to the department, including a transfer of probation or mandatory supervision pursuant to Section 1203.9 by the transferring court, once the case is accepted by the receiving court. A probation or mandatory supervision transfer report shall identify the receiving superior court and the new case number, if any. When filing a case with the court, the criminal justice agency shall include the CII number in the filing.
(b)This section shall become operative on July 1, 2020.
