§ 90.2

(a)Notwithstanding Section 11005 of the Government Code, the Department of Veterans Affairs may accept donations of personal property, including cash or other gifts, to be used to further the purposes of the state’s strategic plan for providing veterans with transitional assistance, as described in Section 90, or to reimburse the state for expenditures made by the state for these purposes.
(1)Cash donations made pursuant to subdivision
(a)shall be deposited in the CalTap Endowment Fund, which is hereby created in the State Treasury.
(2)Notwithstanding Section 13340 of the Government Code, moneys in the fund shall be continuously appropriated for the purpose of funding competitive grants in support of the state’s strategic plan for providing veterans with transitional assistance, as described in Section 90.
