§ 1759.10

A person shall not act as, or hold himself or herself out to be, an administrator in this state, other than an adjuster licensed in this state for the kinds of business for which he or she is acting as an administrator, unless he or she holds a certificate of registration as an administrator issued by the commissioner. The certificate shall be issued, renewed, and held in accordance with, and subject to, all the provisions applicable to a life agent contained in Article 6 (commencing with Section 1666), excluding Section 1672, Article 10 (commencing with Section 1708), Article 11 (commencing with Section 1716), and Article 13 (commencing with Section 1737), excluding Section 1741, of, and subject to the fees applicable to resident life agents as set forth in Article 14 (commencing with Section 1750) of, Chapter 5.
Every administrator shall also comply with Section 1724.5.
