Upon receipt of a complaint, the mediation service, to the extent possible, shall issue a notice to the insured and the insurer setting a date and time within 21 calendar days of the date of the notice for commencement of a mediation conference. The mediator shall make all reasonable efforts to schedule the mediation at a time agreeable to both parties. The notice shall inform the parties that the cost of mediation will be borne by the insurer, except to the extent provided in Section 10089.81. The notice shall also state that in the event of a proposed settlement the insured may have three business days in which to rescind the agreement, as specified in subdivision
(c)of Section 10089.82.
