An agency may issue revenue bonds for the purpose of financing residential construction authorized by this chapter and for the purpose of funding or refunding previously issued revenue bonds. An agency may also issue revenue bonds for the purpose of refunding bonds previously issued by another political subdivision of the state for the purpose of financing residential construction authorized by this chapter for projects within the jurisdiction of the agency. For the purposes of this section, “political subdivision” means a city, a housing authority, or a nonprofit corporation acting on behalf of a city or a housing authority, all of which operate within the jurisdiction of the agency.
Any savings that accrue to the agency from refunding bonds previously issued by another political subdivision shall be limited to the expenditures authorized in subdivision
(e)of Section 33334.2.
