(a)On and after January 1, 1989, only a person who meets the educational and experience requirements as established under Section 106635 shall be eligible for admission to examination for registration as an environmental health specialist.
(b)The professional examination shall be prescribed by the department with the concurrence of the committee, and a passing score on the examination shall be required prior to registration.
(c)An applicant who fails to pass the written examination shall not be eligible to be reexamined until 90 days have elapsed from the date of the previous examination. Reapplication and reexamination shall be made by submitting a new application with the required fee.
