For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply:
(a)“Authority” means the Central Coast Hospital Authority established pursuant to this chapter.
(b)“Board of supervisors” means the Board of Supervisors of the County of Monterey.
(c)“Board of trustees” means the governing body of the authority.
(d)“County” means the County of Monterey.
(e)“Governing board” means the governing body of any other health care facility, as defined in subdivision (g).
(f)“Medical center” means the Natividad Medical Center and related public health care programs, facilities, care organizations, and delivery systems that exist or are established by the board of trustees.
(g)“Other health care facility” or “other health care facilities” means one or more health care facilities, districts, or systems in the County of Monterey, including, but not limited to, general acute care hospitals, public hospital districts, and related health care programs, facilities, care organizations, and delivery systems, but does not include the medical center.
