§ 655.5

(a)Whenever a person convicted of any violation of subdivision (b), (c), (d), (e), or
(f)of Section 655 is found by the court to have willfully refused the request of a peace officer to submit to chemical testing of the blood, breath, or urine pursuant to Section 655.1, the court may impose enhanced penalties either by fine or imprisonment, or both, not to exceed the maximum of the penalties prescribed in Section 668.
(b)A willful refusal to submit to chemical testing pursuant to subdivision
(a)shall be pled and proven.
(c)This section shall become operative on January 1, 1992.
