(a)If a resolution is adopted under Section 1245.330 of the Code of Civil Procedure consenting to the acquisition of property by eminent domain and the person authorized by the resolution to acquire the property by eminent domain acquires the property by purchase, eminent domain, or otherwise, that person shall provide relocation advisory assistance and shall make any of the payments required to be made by public entities pursuant to the provisions of this chapter in conformity with this chapter and the guidelines adopted by the Commission of Housing and Community Development pursuant to Section 7268.
(b)This section does not apply to public utilities which are subject to the provisions of Article 6 (commencing with Section 600) of Chapter 3 of Part 1 of Division 1 of the Public Utilities Code or to public entities which are subject to this chapter.
