(a)A member appointed pursuant to subdivision
(b)of Section 66703 may receive a per diem for each board meeting that he or she attends. The board shall set the amount of that per diem for a member’s attendance, but that amount shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100) per meeting. A member may not receive a payment for more than two meetings in a calendar month.
(b)A member may waive a payment authorized by this section.
