§ 30029.1

The moneys allocated out of the subaccounts of the Juvenile Justice Account for the 2011–12 fiscal year are intended to be allocated in the same manner as the funding for those programs would have been allocated in the 2011–12 fiscal year if not for the passage of the act adding this section. For the 2011–12 fiscal year, moneys in the subaccounts in the Juvenile Justice Account in the Local Revenue Fund 2011 shall be allocated as follows:
(a)The Director of Finance shall determine the total amount of the Youthful Offender Block Grant and the allocation for each county, pursuant to Sections 1955 and 1956 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, and shall report those findings to the Controller. The Controller shall make an allocation from the Youthful Offender Block Grant Subaccount in the Juvenile Justice Account to each county’s or city and county’s Juvenile Justice Account in accordance with the report. The moneys allocated pursuant to this subdivision shall be used solely for the purposes described in subparagraph
(A)of paragraph
(6)of subdivision
(f)of Section 30025.
(b)The Director of Finance shall calculate the Juvenile Reentry Grant and the allocation for each county probation department, consistent with the goals and criteria set forth in Section 1984 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, except that the allocations shall be distributed monthly, and shall report those findings to the Controller. The Controller shall make an allocation from the Juvenile Reentry Grant Subaccount to each county’s or each city and county’s Juvenile Justice Account in accordance with the report. The moneys allocated pursuant to this subdivision shall be used solely for the purposes described in subparagraph
(B)of paragraph
(6)of subdivision
(f)of Section 30025.
