It is the Legislature’s intent that the authority provided under this chapter is separate and independent from the Higher Education Student Housing and Capacity Expansion Grant Programs (Chapter 18.5 (commencing with Section 17200) of Part 10 of Division 1 of Title 1 of the Education Code). Any mention of the Higher Education Student Housing and Capacity Expansion Grant Programs, including Section 17201 of the Education Code, is for purposes of reference only and not intended to incorporate the provisions of the Higher Education Student Housing and Capacity Expansion Grant Programs into this chapter.
