(a)Except as otherwise provided in this part or in subdivision (b), every person that violates this part is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), by imprisonment of not less than 10 days nor more than one year, or by both the fine and imprisonment. Each violation during any day shall constitute a separate offense.
(b)Every person who violates the following is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), by imprisonment of not less than 10 days nor more than six months, or by both the fine and imprisonment. Each violation during any day shall constitute a separate offense:
(1)Article 1 (commencing with Section 16501) of Chapter 3.
(2)Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 16801).
(3)Article 5 (commencing with Section 17121) of Chapter 7.
(4)Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 17150).
