At any meeting of the members, voting may be in person or by proxy, provided that no proxy is eligible to be voted at any meeting unless it has been filed with the secretary of the association, for verification, prior to the meeting. Each proxy shall be in writing and when filed with the secretary, shall, unless otherwise specified in the proxy, continue in force from year to year until revoked by a writing delivered to the secretary or by a subsequent proxy executed by the member executing the prior proxy or as to any meeting by attendance at such meeting and voting in person by the person executing the proxy.
A proxy is not revoked by the death or incapacity of the maker unless, before the vote is counted, written notice of such death or incapacity is received by the association. Section 604 of the Corporations Code does not apply to any mutual association.
