An elections official may, upon receipt of a properly executed affidavit of registration or address correction notice or letter pursuant to Section 2119, Article 2 (commencing with Section 2220) of Chapter 3, or the federal National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (52 U.S.C. Sec. 20501 et seq.), or an affidavit of registration pursuant to Section 2101 or subdivision
(d)of Section 2102, notify the sender by text message or email that his or her voter registration information has been received and that he or she will receive a subsequent notification pursuant to Section 2155 or 2155.3.
