Notwithstanding Section 44941, the notice of suspension and intention to dismiss that is based exclusively on charges of egregious misconduct as described in paragraph
(1)of subdivision
(a)of Section 44932, shall be in writing and served pursuant to Section 44936. A copy of the charges filed, containing the information required by Section 11503 of the Government Code, together with a copy of the provisions of this article, shall be attached to the notice. If the employee does not demand a hearing within the 30-day period, he or she may be dismissed upon the expiration of 30 days after service of the notice.
