§ 22156.08

(a)“Position subject to membership” shall also include the following positions in which a member performed creditable service before the operative date of Section 22156.07 provided that the same member remains continuously employed to perform service in that position on and after the operative date of Section 22156.07:
(1)A position in which the member performed creditable service pursuant to Section 22119.5, as that section read before the operative date of Section 22156.07.
(2)A position in which the member performed the activities described in subdivision
(a)of Section 22119.6.
(b)Subdivision
(a)shall not apply to a member who becomes employed by the same or a different employer in a new position on or after the operative date of this section, and the member shall be subject to Section 22156.07.
(1)The board shall determine a date based on when the system has the capacity to implement the changes made by the act that added this subdivision. The date determined by the board shall be posted on the internet website of the system no later than July 1, 2027.
(2)This section shall become operative on the date determined by the board pursuant to paragraph (1).
