For a school district having an average daily attendance of 2,500 or less for the prior fiscal year, the board may approve, subject to the building cost standards established under this chapter, a supplemental apportionment up to five thousand five hundred dollars ($5,500) for any new construction project, and up to one thousand three hundred twenty dollars ($1,320) for any other project approved under this chapter, as reimbursement for administrative expenses incurred by the district in filing the application for the project.
The amount of the supplemental apportionments shall be adjusted in 1990, and every two years thereafter, by the board at its January meeting, which adjustment shall be in an amount equal to the amount of the adjustment for inflation set forth in the statewide cost index for class D construction.
