A consumer may elect that his or her name shall be removed from any list that a consumer credit reporting agency furnishes for credit card solicitations, by notifying the consumer credit reporting agency, by telephone or in writing, pursuant to the notification system maintained by the consumer credit reporting agency pursuant to subdivision
(d)of Section 1785.11. The election shall be effective for a minimum of two years, unless otherwise specified by the consumer.
